Iran’s Opportunities in Light of BRICS’s Role in a Multipolar International System

Article introduction
This article examines the impact of emerging powers—especially BRICS—on political and economic opportunities for Iran. Focusing on cooperation and institution-building among emerging powers, it analyzes Iran’s potential to benefit from multipolar developments in the international system.
The findings show that the rise of BRICS creates significant potential opportunities for Iran, and that through institutional cooperation with BRICS members, the Islamic Republic can advance its political and economic interests. Iran’s alignment with BRICS on issues such as countering US unilateralism and increasing participation in international economic arrangements is cited as a key example of these opportunities.
