Iran's innovative and strategic proposals for cooperation among BRICS countries

In a video message to the BRICS Women Ministers’ Meeting, the Vice President for Women and Family Affairs emphasized the constructive role of women in sustainable development and, on behalf of the Islamic Republic of Iran, proposed strategic initiatives for cooperation among BRICS countries in the areas of women’s economic empowerment, entrepreneurship, and family strengthening.

According to the government information website, in this message, Zahra Behrouzazar, while expressing gratitude to the government and people of India for hosting the meeting, referred to the martyrs of the recent aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran and considered peace, security, and human dignity as prerequisites for sustainable development.

Stating that the real capital of nations is human beings, and half of this capital is women, she said: Empowering women does not only mean economic support, but also recognizing their role in decision-making and development, and “women are the architects of development, not merely its beneficiaries.”

Behrouz Azar, explaining some of the achievements of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the fields of education, knowledge-based economy, and women's economic empowerment, emphasized the family-centered approach in the country's policymaking and stated: Family and women's empowerment complement each other.

In the end, the Vice President for Women and Family Affairs presented the Islamic Republic of Iran's proposals for cooperation among BRICS member countries, including the "BRICS Women's Entrepreneurship and Microfinance Network" and the "BRICS Dialogue on Family and Social Resilience," and expressed hope that these initiatives would pave the way for more effective cooperation among member countries on the path of humane and sustainable development.

The Vice President for Women and Family Affairs, in view of attending the funeral and farewell ceremony of the martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution and his family members, sent his message via video to the BRICS Women Ministers' Meeting, and the delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran attended the meeting on behalf of our country.
