This paper examines the rise of the BRICS bloc—Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa—and its implications for global power politics. Representing over half of the world’s population, large territories, major economies, and nuclear capabilities, the BRICS challenge the US-led liberal international order.

The study explores whether the emergence of the BRICS has shifted world power structures and questioned Western institutions, policies, and narratives. It positions the bloc as a potential counterhegemonic force capable of influencing global governance and altering traditional power dynamics.

By analyzing BRICS’ collective strategies, the paper highlights their role in reshaping international relations and contributing to a multipolar world, emphasizing their growing influence in political, economic, and security affairs.
