Importance of BRICS as a regional politics and policies

This article examines the geopolitical and economic significance of BRICS, comprising Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, as a regional and international organization. The study explores how BRICS functions as a political and economic bloc, influencing global governance and regional policymaking. Using secondary data sources, including research articles, books, and official documents, along with descriptive statistics and the Composite Index (CI) method, the authors analyze the alliance’s role in shaping economic and political outcomes.

The study finds that BRICS countries, as emerging economies, have substantial potential to influence global economic and political systems. The alliance demonstrates interdependent political strategies and cooperative interstate relations, emphasizing knowledge sharing, technical collaboration, and regional development. BRICS summits focus on policies related to economics, finance, commerce, and regional integration, reflecting the bloc’s strategic approach to enhancing collective influence.

The article underscores the need for continued improvement in education, technology, and economic cooperation to strengthen BRICS’ regional and global impact. By fostering collaboration and interdisciplinary initiatives, the bloc can further consolidate its position as a significant player in international geopolitics and regional policy-making.
